Would you risk being called a fool
Would you ‘risk’ being called a FOOL!
I would love to called ONE 🙂
Whenever I asked this question of anyone, most people avoided the question, some got agitated and others were amused. Most looked at me questioningly and thought, ‘What a Fool!’ They put the question back at me and asked, why would, someone ever want to be called a ‘Fool ? Would I ?Â
I would tell them jokingly that, for some reason ‘Fools’ are happier and very uncomplicated. Not everybody thought the same, for them a fool is a fool,nothing less nothing more… They had the generally acceptable meaning of a fool in mind, someone who is stupid!
However, I define a FOOL not as being foolish… It is a person who does not necessarily KNOW everything like we all pretend to know. Or a person who accepts his ‘not knowing’.
If there was an acronym for the word FOOL for me, it would be a person who is ‘FOREVER OBSERVING THE OBJECTIVITY OF LIFE’:
Which could mean… an openness towards the learnings that life has to offer;
Which could mean… the person does not know everything;
Which could mean… the person is willing to learn more about life;
Which could mean… the person is ready to continually observe the objectivity that life brings to us.
Yes… I would certainly be willing to be called a ‘FOOL’, a Learner, an observer, an objective viewer and experiencer.
For a week, if we give up all that we know and simply observe, simply see things as they are and not as the way we like to see them, just let things be and not interpret, allow space to other people’s actions and thoughts without reacting….Just watching, just absorbing and just letting be…and believing we do not know it all… stay a FOOL for a week and live in that paradise without straining our brain for anything or anyone. We spend so much time proving what we know, fighting for everything we believe is right, that we hardly get time to look around ourselves.
And then…observe the stretch in your own levels of tolerance and acceptance of what is happening around us…The beauty of co-existing with differences… The power of other view points and so much more. All that happened during the week that we were ‘FOOLS’ did not make us any less , it made us more powerful, bigger in accepting, taller in receiving and for once living away and out of ourselves. A VERY POWERFUL WAY TO LIVE
NOW …would you like to be called a FOOL. I would love to be called one!
